在深圳时, 杨妈妈请我吃过桥米线. 我们两个人点了两个套餐(RMB 48),来了两碗超大的汤,加上十多小碟的材料,乖乖不得了! 真是让我看得目瞪口呆啊!我的天啊!这怎么吃啊!这可是我平时正餐的3 倍!我得吃撑了!
上网查了过桥米线的由来:
从前,蒙自一位秀才为了应考,他把自己关在南湖中的小岛上,日夜攻读。妻子每天给他送饭,因路远饭菜常常凉了,秀才便不爱吃。怎么办呢?一天妻子炖了一只肥母鸡,她用土罐盛了鸡汤,带上秀才爱吃的米线和佐料,用竹篮装了送去,当她端汤罐时,手被烫得缩了回来。原来,鸡汤上飘浮着一层厚厚的鸡油,保持了温度。于是,她把佐料放入汤内涮烫,再放入米线。秀才吃得热乎乎的,味道也觉着格外鲜美。大加赞杨,因为妻子送饭必须经过一桥.秀才便笑着对妻于说:“就把你今儿做的美餐叫做过桥米线吧。” 从此,过桥米线便在民间传开了。

It's in Chinese language. I believe you can get Chinese food in India too but most of the food featured here are local Singaporean food.
